What does your road map look like?

We spent a big chunk of yesterday designing our "road map" - in a poster, laying out the major events in our life that have brought each of us together in this blip of time. And as we talked about each of our paths, the pit stops, and detours we also shared the challenges we faced and reflected upon what we had learned. I've been telling others that one of the personal reasons I'm going on this trip is because I want to "grow up," in the broadest sense of the term. I'm still trying to figure out what that means. But it was nice to step back, look at that snapshot of my life, and come to the realisation that I have already "grown up" a lot. It was a reminder that I should take some time to reflect on the occurrences of my life, especially all the random moments that I'm soaking up while I'm here in Antigonish and will be experiencing in Peru - not just to remind myself how far I've come, but also so that I'm continually thinking about what I can learn and how I can grow from these moments.

Off to a day-long workshop on HIV/AIDS! I'll finally get a break after today and will have time to do a real post!

My road map is a straight line...no stops, no detours...I'm constantly moving in some direction...and that movement has taken me to all the places I've been and all the experiences I had. No one experience stopped that line from continuing, and not one made it curve one direction or another.

just my thoughts.

yes, the pikachu suit is on that line many times...:)
